Newcastle 4 -0 Gateshead

In their second last match of the season the Men's team faced bottom of the league Gateshead. With some experienced faces returning in the form of Alex Gray, Jonathan Blake and David Breakey the team looked on course to secure a solid win.  Newcastle dominated from the start and opened the scoring with a superb team effort. Alex Hancock, reclaiming possesion in his defensive midfield roll, started and finished a move that almost every newcastle player touched before he swept the ball home. Newcastle continued to run the game with their opposition barely touching the ball James Breakey and Miles Ingram continually frustrating their oponents. Newcastle got their second soon after with Hancock again firning home after some slick attacking play. Newcastle found the net again before the end of the half, James Breakey drifting past the Gateshead defense to smash home a third. Newcastle maintained their dominance in the second half but failed to capitalise on several moments of individual brilliance. A final goal came when Neil Dale dribbled past the entire Gateshead defense and smashed the ball into the top corner. A resounding victory for the team who will now look to end their season with a third victory in a row against Marton Furness. Man of the Match goes to Alex Hancock with a now remarkable run of 8 goals in 8 games.
