Newcastle Hockey Club (full name) also know as ‘NHC’ and any alias linked from the full name, website is maintained for your personal use and viewing. Access and use by you of this site constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. This takes effect from the date on which you first use this website.

This website is run by the web manager of NHC and responsible and authorised members affiliated with NHC. It is our intention that our website is usable and accessible to all users. This website supports Web Content Accessibility Guidelines of the World Wide Web Consortium (http://www.w3.org/).

Our full published privacy policy is available to download and details how we will use and protect any information about you that you give us when you register with this website. 

These terms and conditions only cover the main NHC Website www.newcastlehockeyclub.org.uk and no sub-domains. It does not cover all sites that can be linked to from this site, so you should always be aware when you are moving to another site and read the privacy statement on that site.

What information do we collect?

If you are a user with general public and anonymous access, the NHC Website does not capture or store personal information about you but simply logs your IP address, which is automatically recognised by our web server. This is known as a 'log file' which we use to compile site usage statistics.

The site does not use currently cookies to collect user information.

We collect three kinds of information from visitors to this website: feedback; email addresses and registration details.

Feedback

We welcome your feedback. If you contact us asking for information, we may need to contact you in return, by supplying us with your relevant contact details you therefore give us permission to do so. If your question is technical, we may need to pass it to our technology suppliers.

We do not pass on any of your personal information when dealing with your enquiry, unless you have given us permission to do so. Once we have replied to you, we keep a record of your message for logging purposes.

Some areas of the site require entry of a valid email address. This is to establish a confirmed method of reply or communication. We do not share the information you provide with any third parties and we protect it in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

The Data Protection Act

Under the Data Protection Act, we have a legal duty to protect any information we collect from you. We use leading technologies and encryption software to safeguard your data, and keep strict security standards to prevent any unauthorised access to it.

We do not pass on your details to any third party.

Your email address is also secure from automated web crawlers that collect information for external purposes, this is counteracted using leading technologies and encryption software.

Password and NHC Account

Upon registration NHC shall provide you with a password and login to access certain sections of the Website together with an account designation. You shall be responsible for the custody and non-disclosure of your password, login and account as well as of their use.

Conduct and Content

You hereby represent and warrant to NHC that you have full power and authority to enter into and perform this Agreement. You shall not upload any information, data (including match results), text, match reports, photographs, video, graphics, music, sound, software or any other materials (“Content”) that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libellous, harmful to minors in any way, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, and/or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable. NHC is not responsible for pre-screening Content that is uploaded by any user of the Services. NHC has no obligation or liability for the accuracy, integrity or quality of Content uploaded by any user of the Services. You shall be responsible and liable for any Content that you upload. Without prejudice to FL’s right to terminate this Agreement with you, NHC reserves the right to edit or remove any uploaded Content, at its sole discretion as it deems appropriate. In respect of any Content which you upload for inclusion in publicly accessible areas of the Website (which for this purpose means every page of the Website other than pages created by registered users in their respective restricted access pages) you hereby grant NHC a royalty free, irrevocable and non-exclusive licence (with a right to sub-licence) in perpetuity to compile, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, such Content (in whole or in part) and/or to incorporate it in other works or in any form or media provided it is solely relating to the subject matter which such Content was submitted to the Website. You hereby waive your rights to any derogatory treatment of any moral rights pertaining to such Content. We would advise you to follow the EH best practice guidelinesprior to uploading any Content involving children.
